Serving since 2018, Monique has been working with Global Aid Network (GAIN) as a Project Leader for the Water for Life Initiative.  I am based out of Calgary, Alberta.  The projects I am working on are in Benin, Togo, and Tanzania. 

Prayer Requests: 

• Please continue to pray for the launch of our project in Maasailand!  Pray that we would land in a good project rhythm, and ultimately please pray for the people of Tanzania who will be impacted by this project.  

• Please pray for Adam and I as we prepare for our wedding and our married life together!

Serving for over 40 years, Jack deKroon is working with Power to Change, formerly known as YWAM, in Haiti. He is involved in evangelism and church construction projects. 

Prayer requests:

• Pray for Haiti’s stability.  There is much unrest in the country. 

• Pray for airlines to re-commence flights to Haiti. Bandits have been shooting at aircrafts trying to land.

• Pray for safety for my family and me.

• Pray for project funds for church construction and pews.

Serving since 2017, Leslie is the Director of Academics @ The Esther School in Chongwe, Zambia.  

Prayer Requests:

• For continued rains to fall! It hasn’t rained much recently so we still need much more
• Safety and protection over the holiday for staff and students
• Good exam results! 
• For the leadership. We have faced some serious external challenges and need mighty interventions. Some of it has even involved courts and such. Everyone is very fatigued and needing rest!

Leslie Arends' God Story

Serving with NAIM since 2001, the Johnson's have been working with the North American Indigenous Ministry (NAIM).  Doing evangelism and outreach to the Secwepemcw First Nations by discipleship Bible Studies, setting up canoe camps, sharing their unique skills to create connections with communities. They support elders and families through visits.  

Prayer Requests: 

• Prayers for the monthly “Supper Club” 
• Prayers for those who God brings to Howard and Jannie to disciple as well those whom they seak out.

Serving since 2019, Tyler has been working with Global Aid Network (GAIN) as Disaster Relief Preparedness Management with GAiN Canada. Tyler helps coordinate all of the disaster relief efforts between team at GAiN Canada, other GAiN offices and local partners.  Tyler’s home base is here in Abbotsford.  

Prayer Requests: 

• Pray for Syria.  Instability in the country provides a lot of instability for Christians.
• Pray for Ukraine.  GAiN continues to work through local partners to bring aid to those very close to the front lines. 
• Pray for Israel, Gaza Lebanon.

Serving since 2023, Lianne has been working with World Race is a program run through Adventures in Missions. She is in a leadership role, discipling and guiding a team as they grow to know the Lord. They travel to countries around the world, learning through their experiences.  

Prayer Requests:

• For the hearts of the people in Nepal. That there would be a stirring and a readiness to receive the Gospel.

• Deeper unity within the team I'm leading. That we would be built up by one another and the Lord in faith and love so that we can serve in the overflow and not run dry.

• Boldness and quick obedience as we share Jesus to people who have never heard and where restrictions are tighter. Deep trust in the Lord's timing and guiding in conversations.
