Serving at gateway

As a response to the free gift of grace in Jesus Christ, we respond with gratitude by mobilizing and serving one another and those in need. By serving one another we are serving God. There are many ministries that could use your gifts and talents. If you are interested in getting plugged into one of our ministries contact Pastor Adam to get more information.

We want to be a church for our city and communities! We also want to deploy everyone's gits to serve and further the Kingdom of God. Want to be a part? Check out the opportunities below.

SERVE PROJECT FAQ'S

Every new season of Life Groups, this page is refreshed to reveal all of our pre-selected and organized "plug-and-play"

serve projects that Life Groups participants can choose from.

WHY SERVE?

God's Word tells us that we are to, "Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon" (Isaiah 58:10).  A vital component of our Life Group ministry is that groups "serve" with one another.

WHY ABBOTSFORD SERVE PROJECTS?

This might sound obvious, but we believe God has placed us right here! Not somewhere else. Therefore, we have decided we will prioritize mission's endeavours and the establishment of Kingdom partnerships in Abbotsford and the Fraser Valley. We want to be a church that is for our city!

WHEN DO SERVE PROJECT SIGN-UPS OPEN?

In the first few weeks of each new season, along side sign-ups opening this semester, we'll make these serve opportunities open to our leaders!

WHEN ARE THESE HAPPENING?

All serve projects happen during the Life Group semester, during the typical nine weeks of meetings.

WHAT IF I WANT TO SUGGEST A LOCAL SERVE PROJECT?

We would love to hear them! We have a thorough and specific vetting process that all projects need to meet, so if you want to suggest a serve project for your group (or others) to participate in, or a particular organization we can partner with, please contact Pastor Adam.

Our Joy:

Living a Life of Generosity

At Gateway, we believe life is a long-term mission trip, and every day is a short-term mission opportunity.

God's word makes it clear that it's our job to share the love of Christ with people we see every day,

whether we're in our local community, or halfway across the world.

This mission not only impacts those we serve, but it is a pathway to spiritual transformation in our own lives.
